Statement:
My
interest with the title industry started last year, when I began
attending
the Title Abstractors Association meetings at the
invitation of the president. I got to know some of
the
independent abstractors as I started writing professional liability
for title abstractors. The more I learned about the industry, the
more fascinated I became with the role title agencts and their
services play in the real estate acquisition process. I did extensive
research
to see how I could best serve the title industry need for a low
maintenance, low- cost errors and omissions policy that still provides
all the
essential coverages. I found that lots of my companies will provide
the coverage, but there is a large variance between premiums and
coverage. I can find the best company to suit my clients’ needs,
and I provide my clients with options so they can make their educated
decision. Due
to current events in the real estate industry (sub prime devastation,
the
rise in claims, etc), I see a real need for title agents to be
able to rely on someone who knows the industry, and knows how to
best protect their valuable business. That’s why I am always
interested in the “goings-on” with the real estate industry.
I see agents really suffering from rising costs and responsibilities
(like those proposed in RESPA), and I look to provide options in
professional liability coverage to give my clients a good idea of
what is out there, and what they can do to keep this errors & omisssions
cost down without compromising coverage. My clients can feel comfortable
they have received the best care in finding a company with the best
coverage for the right price.
